''This is as Merry as I get''

Hello world. Hello Philippines! 🇵🇭

Ilang araw na lang Pasko na naman?

First of all, I miss you all. As much as I miss bibingkas and ''puto bumbongs'' (puto is a bad word in Spanish haha)
Thank you Ruth for sending me email too! And my Kaisy! You guys are rads!

Here are some of my ''tranquillo'' moments here in Cerro de Pasco

I am now currently studying Quechua. By the way, Quechua is Peru's national language, it is the Inka's language before. Due to colonization of Spaniards they actually lost the language. But the good thing is Peruvian government is trying to restore their own language and history.
Learning Quechua is fun, it just so sad that most Peruvians don't know how to speak it, only few mostly old people. It is crazy to learn too 'cause in different areas I've been they have different kind of accents and pronunciations too, so I rely more in listening each word. Oh di 'ba after I go home I know at least 6 languages na! Nux, polyglot!

Here are some of the few words I learned:
sipaw pawawa means ''son of the devil'' (This was the first phrase in Quechua I learned in MTC)  😂
manankachu means ''nothing''
munayki means 'I love you''
and more to go

I am taking the time to learn it to connect more to people of my mission especially here in Cerro de Pasco. Some old people here know Quechua and I think it is best way to contact people and share some little thing about the gospel. (since their bit cold here too)

I also gave a talk this Sunday and it went so sweet. My main message centers in the meaning of Christmas.
I just realized that the root word of Christmas is ''Christ'' and additional word is ''mas'' means more in Spanish. So therefore, Christmas means ''more of Christ''.
As I shared with my ward
Christmas is to remember Christ
We can remember his life by reading The New Testament. From his birth to his death and his resurrection. We can always remember what does John 3:16 says that whosoever believeth in Him shall have eternal life. He's the light of the world, the advocate, the living bread and water! So always remember Him.
Christmas is to be like Christ
We need to follow his footsteps and his examples. He taught us to share what we have, be a good neighbor and forgive too.
Christmas is to love like Christ
When Jesus was here on earth he experienced rejections too. He counsel to us that we need to love one another, and he even said that if someone slap you on your left side of your face give your right side too. That's how we need to love. Unconditional. As he gave His life to us!

As part of our #IluminaElMundo campaign we did Noche de Hogar (Home Evening) in members house and it was amazing. We always watch the video that you click here: https://www.comeuntochrist.org/light-the-world

We are also using videos to teach our lessons because it is more convenient and easier for people to understand our lessons.

Well, we're still trying to find people that we could teach here in Cerro. We know that our efforts are not wasted. There is only secret in missionary work and it is to LOVE the people and always to say THANK YOU.

I wanna leave this cute message for y'all

So, have good and happy week everyone. I hope that you'll feel the Spirit of Christmas as you focus more in the life of our Savior Jesus Christ!
