Buon Natale
So, of course. Dahil madaldal ako marami akong kwento this week. I actually don't know where to start, that's the problem. So, if ever your bored, you could read this. 😂
But again I want to say and greet you all a very wonderful Holiday. I miss celebrating Christmas in the Philippines. After Christmas, you guys celebrate Rizal Day and then New Year. So keep it up Filipino! Enjoy every moment, don't worry I will be there next Christmas. I hate thinking all of these things 'cause I don't want to be ''trunky''. I love you all.
Christmas here in Peru is crazier than I thought it would be. They exploded all of their firecrackers at 12:00 am at Christmas and it went so crazy. The fireworks of the whole Cerro de Pasco lasted for about 10 to 15 minutes.
My Ecuadorian companion burned old clothes that we had in our room. He said that in Ecuador they burn old clothes from Christmas as a part of their new beginnings and they will get some new clothes.
It's a nice culture, huh. Some of the Elders from other areas celebrated Christmas with us. It was fun and we played Uno.
Sadly, our ward is super dry that they don't even plan a Ward Christmas Party. Our pension doesn't even cook a ''special'' Christmas food for us. Just a normal bread and chicken, rice and potatoes. Our dinner appointments were all canceled. #sadlife But, more than anything else, I still happy.
I am looking forward to my next Christmas next year in the Philippines, so that makes my life goes here. To imagine things. Haha. That this 2020 will be the year! I am trusting.
FYI, Peruvian loves paneton for their Christmas, paneton is just simply fruit cake. They best serve it with hot chocolates. I am telling you, I've been tired of eating this combination. But, then again I am happy, okay. If just in case your reading this. appreciate what you have in the Philippines, 'cause I miss fruit salads and those roasted pigs that we have.
Seeing photos of my family eating their ''banquete'' is definitely a self-murder. 🦀👹 I love seeing them enjoying their Christmas and all went fine. I love my niece and I really miss him. I really wanna hug him and spoil him next year. My Eli, my heart!
The best part of my week was...my travel to Lima. Yes, you heard it, I went to Lima last week. Oh man, I hate airplanes and airports. They made me so trunky. I went to Lima to fix my visa. I was with my MTC group. It was such a good reunion. We also went to the temple. I got a N E W garments and bought an expensive Spanish quadruple. The best part was I attended a temple endowment session. What a great Christmas gift for me. Inside the temple, I was renewed. ⛪I felt peace. In the Celestial room, I just prayed and thanked God for this year. 🙏 I thanked our Father for all those miracles I've seen in my life. I love being in the temple! I even saw one Filipino there too. Speaking TAGALOG in live for 1:38 seconds was so refreshing! Hahaha. Got to eat at Little Ceasar's Pizza and Bembos was so DOPE. 🍕🍔 I love Lima, it is really different from my mission. I love cityscape, smell, traffic, people there too. 🏙 Hahaha. I will go back there definitely after 35 years. Hahaha.
Well, today we went again to Bosque de Piedras. I went fine but I will not go back there again. Haha. This 5th of January will be transfers day! I hope to go out here in Cerro, but not my will. Huhuhu. 😄
PS. We have a new phone because I lost ours in Lima. Hahaha.
