Small Miracles and other Stories
🚫WARNING!🚫
This email will be really long. I don't know how to start this email.
I was in Huancayo last week to pick up my companion. I was a very tiring last week, imagine traveling 8 hours with a crazy-curvy road. I also can't sleep while traveling because I was really nervous and anxious. I am thinking about ''me'' being a trainer. I still feel inadequate but still I know that there are reasons why God chose me to train.
Last Monday, we had a little training on how to be a ''trainer''. It was really an uplifting moment. The Assistants said that we need to start a new ''generation'' of missionaries in our mission.
Meeting My New Companion
We the trainers went to Open Plaza to welcome new missionaries. We ate at Norky's and it was really good.
The new group is huge. They are seventeen missionaries and almost all of them are Gringos. (they're young too) Haha.
So, seeing the new missionaries was really awesome. The new faces. Burning hearts. I just remember my first day.
Then there we go. I met my new companion. He's Elder Foulger (sounds like Folger's coffee). He's from California. He's really young but he's mature. I never have seen an 18-year old that thinks like him. 😚
He's really cool. He likes to work. He knows Spanish too, which is a good thing. We just work so hard meeting people. We visited and invited inactive members. We found new eight people with interests.
People and other Stories
We visited Jaselina, she's really amazing 16 years old, we taught her about the Plan of Salvation and she cried on our lesson. Jaselina is really intelligent. She's really progressing. She just needs to attend the church. 🌹
We found an 18-year-old guy named Luis. He is really awesome kid. We just met him outside of his Colegio. We taught him about Restauration and it went fine.
He likes my comp so much that's why Luis always asks my comp about the USA and kinds of stuff there. 😄
Well, I don't know. I saw a lot of miracles this week. I admit I am not yet good in Spanish but when I teach people seems to understand me. When my comp is asking me some English words and to translate in Spanish, I was just like blurting those words in my mouth without thinking about it.
We are also seeing people along the way. Members and non-members. Getting citas or appointment.
We also went to an Evangelico church and it was really fun. A
Some Spiritual Stuff (3s)
I testify that God will help us when we are also doing our part. Believing alone cannot save us.
I saw how God is helping us along the way. Having Spirit is really important. I am still not pro in missionary life but through the help of God everything is ''todo bien''. 👆
Of course, I will leave this scripture Santiago 2:17 says la fe sin obra es muerte. Its good that we have faith, but it's better if we do our part to change, to progress and to start a new life.
That's all folks!
I am enjoying. I love my comp. I am still believing. Still raising Pinoy flag aqui. Don't worry.
Shoutout!
Ruth, I miss you! Good luck with your exam.
Nica, gracias for emails.
Florence, thank you for emails, it was so uplifting!
See you! Happy Halloween! 🎃🎃
