Cough and Love

It's been a week. Sorry for not writing last week. I have been busy 'cause I handled our district P-day. Thanks to Google I found some good group games that made our district unwind. Well, we played Jenga, cup games, and volleyball.

I've been sick this week. My companion´s fever was so contagious and it passed through me. I hate being sick here on the mission. Why? First, you can't go to ''work''. Second, you'll just miss  Filipino food like ''sinigang'' and ''tinolang manok'' that can cure me after eating them. Lastly, the touch of my mother. Ahh. (cries in Spanish) I just miss my mom. Hahaha.

But no worries, I still have my Filipino pills like biogenic and biofluid. Peruvian pills for fever here are not really effective and it was so sad. 

I was lucky too 'cause it is General Conference this last weekend so we just watched the Conferences. I watched General Conference in English. It was so dope. I was so lucky 'cause it is live-sessions unlike in the PH we're always a week late. I was so happy that we will have a new Temple in Bacolod. Pride! ⛪ I love the General Conferences. I just noticed that some of the main topics they discussed were about  ''trusting'' God and ''be alert'' of the deceptions of the adversary. I really like the message of Elder Johnson's about the 3Ds of Satan. Deception, distraction, and discouragement. This is really relevant to as a missionary, Satan really knows that our message is true and he tries to attack me/us for us to forget who we really are. Lucifer knows that we have great potentials and he tries to distract us in all ways. Like, President Espinosa (my institute teacher before now a president of Urdaneta Mission) always says to us that Satan is working 24 hours to tempt us the rising generation. So, be careful. Do the basics! 👿

Missionaries are also disappointed because they're waiting for some changes in ''mission'. It is really funny how they made theories like mission time will be shortened or we could have a phone but NAHHH. '

We had division from our Zone Leaders and it went well. I love working with other Elders. We are learning hand in hand. We visited some not-so-active members and try to find their houses. I also started to print a new map of our area for ''buscar'' people. I just hope that we could visit them and they will open their hearts and listen again to the word of God.

Yeah, just last week Hermana Magda was baptized too. It was a very spiritual moment. She also added that when I immersed her in the water she said that it feels like someone carried her. It was really nice. After her baptism, she was confirmed as a member of the true Christ of Christ upon the earth.


I bear witness that we could always find joy at times of problems and difficulties. Just focus on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and stay true. I love you all. Sending love from Peru.
