Mabuhay! Viva! Long Live!

Mabuhay sa inyong lahat.

Bigla ko lang naalala na Buwan ng Wika pala this Month. Man, I just want to have a Filipino companion so we could just talk in Tagalog the whole day. Haha. Pero nunca voy a tener porque estoy aqui en Sud-America. I miss speaking Kapampangan and Ilokano too.

I even talk to myself sometimes in Tagalog that my comp thinks that I am getting crazy. But, it is really therapeutic for me and calms me down when I am having episodes. Hahaha. Don't worry I am fine. I am just hungry all the time. Haha. I blame it to all those papas (potatoes). I will be celebrating my 9th month here on a mission. Malapit na akong manganak! Hahaha. So, I hope that someone out there will just send me some boy-bawang at chicharron here. 🎂

There are not so many things that happened this week. It just passed by which is super cool 'cause ''hey, we're in the middle of August na''.

Here are some of the few stories I had ( at sana naman may mag-email din sa akin kung anong nagyayari diyan sa 'Pinas).

30 People per Day

Yep, we have to talk to all people in the streets, houses, and even in bathrooms. Sounds funny but I played it well. Our mission has a goal to contact/tract 20 persons a day. Not just talking to them but to teach principles, bear testimony and get appointments to them.

My companion said that we need to stretch forth our work and we need to make it 30 a day. At first, I was pessimistic about but it works. We talked to every person that we saw walking, having phone calls, eating papa llerena, taking selfies, sitting in the park in short to everyone.

We met cool a lot of people but not ''yet'' ready to hear the message, people who live far in our area or living in pueblos (small villages), people in other faiths, and some people that only God can judge. 😇

It was a nice experience. My contacting skills were improved and I've learned that we should teach the gospel to everyone. Whether they will accept it or not. ''You gotta do the work of the Lord''. Because they are all children of God and they have the right to hear His message of love. 💝

Hitting our goal to talk to 30 people each day makes me feel accomplished. With my broken Spanish, I felt that I am helping the Lord and in His work here in Jauja. Rejections are inevitable but success will be accomplished by trying.

Goals are really essential in missionary work. As mentioned in PMG we have to make goals that are difficult but not hard to accomplish. This week was tiring but yet fulfilling. I testify that God is in the lead of this work. I am not alone. He always sees my efforts!

(daming kong drama sa buhay) Haha.

I know.. I know ..

I have been inspired by the song of EFY 2018 titled For You

Here are some of the lines that I really like and uplifts me every time.

''For you I'll go places I've never been
I'll wear your name and I will testify
For you I'll open my mouth and say
'Cause I know.. I know.. the truth.''

And He is the truth. 👆 This is the reason why I am here in my mission. I am called to preach His gospel. I felt His grace and found my way back to Him. I will be His hands and light to the people here.

Christina, another Gold found

We found another person with interest this week. Hna. Christina is really amazing. The sad part of it is she's a really a Catholic lady and she can't read the Book of Mormon 'cause she can't read clearly.
We will continue helping her and keep teaching her. She's really kind to us she even gave us oranges last Tuesday. We will teach her more about the gospel.

Other Stories

Jauja is really a Tierra de fiesta (land of the party). Like, every day we're witnessing parties in different places. Party of Motos, the party of papas, the party of a saint. Like almost every day. Party is a lifer. Hahaha

Some stress reliever doodles. #Artsy. Haha

My weapons every day! This cold weather!
