Knock. Knock. Who´s there?

Hola everyone!

It´s been a week. Here some of the update of mi vida aqui in Peruuuuu!

Burning shoes and burning hearts.

I had my third companion and his name is Elder Reinemer, he´s from Utah the Fabrica as they say here in Peru (fabrica because most missionaries in our mission are from Utah). Anyway, he´s way to cool. He´s going to end his mission here also here in AmbO and I am glad that he was sent here. One of our goal this change is to make Ambo Great Again. He told us once that he wanted to baptize people before he will go home so this week we started to work really hard.
It´s not that easy, I am directing all the streets since he´s new in our area. We contacted a lot of people. Our area is small but tiring, we have to climb hills and knock doors and knock AGAIN. We checked our carpetas (area book) to see all the old investigators, converts, menos activos and members and visited them too. Some are not home, some ¨busy¨ Pero, it´s okay no effort is wasted. We are now proselyting at mornings and we are learning about the people of Ambo.

We are met a lot people and we experiencing that the Lord´s hands in our ways. Again, it is not easy, it is challenging especially now, it is verano (summer). One old man that we contacted said that we are now burning our shoes (quemar zapatos) because we are walking all day I know also that our hearts to find more people to come unto Christ by helping recieve the restored gospel is more bursting. Successfully, we found 5 new investigators, so please help us pray that they might progress. It would be appreciated.

Dia de Madre
Happy Mother´s day to every mom in the world.

To my mama and my sister Stephanie, and mi cuñada Johamma and to all of my tias out there. Happy Mother´s day.

Shoutout to my mama, who´s casi siempre esta para apoyarme mi in todos. I love you mama. Thank you for all the sacrifices that you have done for our family. No palabra en Ingles ni en Español que puede describir mi amor con usted. Thank you for giving all the best in all that you can. I am who I am because of you. You´re such an inspiration. I miss you mama. I miss your pinakbet and dinengdeng pero more than anything I miss your presence.

I want to share one verse in Book of Mormon about mothers that can be found in Alma 56:47-48

Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.

I know that momsare angels of God. If we listen to their counsel we will  bless in all of our lives. Simple but strong.

Dia de Madre here in Peru is really a thing. Yes, we went outside yesterday (Sunday) and all of our citas cayo (fallen). We´re panted, it means people are not in their home. They all went to Estadio to watch football, went to Huanuco, or plaza. It is really sad. Hahaha. Pero esta bien.

Otro Cosas Aqui mi Mission

Our district is now complete. We have new district leader Elder Price he´s funny from Utah also. He calls me Gambo-trump. Hahaha. He´s jolly super and our apartment is super dope. We have new district member Elder Mamani, fresh from the MTC, he´s so shy. We´re werking here a lot.

We also travelled to Huanuco to help the stake in their Activity. It is fun to see other missionaries and talk about what´s going in our mission. And see members of the other areas. The activity is really fun. It´s like getting to know the church thing with different stations, assigned in Cocina, so I have to introduce myself with the investigators. They´re all surprised when I told them that I am from Filipinas. They´re always astonished when I said that I travelled
hours in avion. They always wanted to our idioma Tagalog and share some cool stuffs about our country.

Funny Stories this week
We knocked door of nun´s home. It is really awkward. Haha-
We contacted an old man and he signed a ¨killing sign¨
The kids are always trained to say that they´re parents are busy and telling ¨no esta¨(their not here).
I am too tired because of contacting that I just didn´t want to eat cena (dinner).

That´s all for today.
