Officially Peruano
Hola!
How am I doing?
I would like to let you know that I am fine. I am alive and still kicking. This past few weeks I was not able to email you since I was just so busy talking with my family. But, my mom really have a comments that I don't speak to much when we talk. She said that my email sometimes (before) is really detailed instead of talking to them, every Monday.
Well, I am still look tired everytime, still we are climbing our areas which is really subida means high altitude. It is really funny because before my mission I really wanted to start mountaineering, pero I am quite busy and heavy to do that. But now, I am happy that I have a chance to do it - every day. Everytime we are ascending in those houses and visit our investigators I am so sweaty and gasping. Well, I am losing weight here in my mission. I weighed myself last two Fridays ago in Airport and I am only 86 kgs. I am so happy.
Lima once again, baby.
I love Lima. Travelling to Lima was one the best experience here in mission. Lima is really a beautiful place. I traveled with other Latinos which E. Soleto from Bolivia, E. Lima from Brazil, E. Garfias from Mexico, and Elder Salvatierra from Argetina (he's my roomate in Palmetto Hotel). We traveled to Lima to fix our visa to stay for two-year service here in Peru. It is really fast in the Emigracion del Peru, we just waited for our IDs.
Aside from that I am so happy that I only traveled for only 40 minutes in the Airport of Huanuco compare of my travels in Satipo before that took me 8 hours, pero ahorra no. Anyway, this is my second time travelling to Lima while I am on my mission. Staying in Hotel, was so awesome, I had the chance to watch the #GeneralConference in English in our room. Me and Elder Salvatierra also watched the movie The Other Side of Heaven and the Best Two Years. This two movies motivated me a lot to serve God with all my might, mind, and strength. I was inspired to be give my best and help the people here in Ambo and my companion. After watching, we went down to eat our dinner but our assistant made mistake and he didn't reserved food in our stay in Palmetto Hotel, so we ordered by own money (they reinversed tho).
Now, you heard it right I am now an official Peruano for few years. The experiences I had here in really helped me to be culturally immersed. I will tell you that the more you love the culture, foods, and the people. It will be easier for you to see and love the country that you are serving.
